Started his equestrian professional carrier in 1984, under the guidance of international rider Carlos Pinto.
Camilo Borges worked in France between 1985 and 1987, as a rider in the Equestrian Academy of Guyenne . During this period he participated in several equestrian shows, namely in the arenas of Nimmes , Carcassone , in the “Cheval Passion” in Avignon and in Equistar.
He was on military duty in 1987 in the CMEFED, where he continued his formation under the guidance of Major Luís Ataíde .
In 1988 he resumed his professional activity in Spain , working with several tauromachic riders, developing and preparing horses.
Returning to Portugal , again with Carlos Pinto, established himself as his main “assistant” in the Fonte Santa picadeiro , in Caneças , participating in several contests and obtaining good classifications in the Portuguese Dressage Cup.
In 1990 he returned to France with Carlos Pinto's Team, remaining there until 1995, cooperating in teaching and preparing horses. During this period he was also invited several times to teach give clinics, in Portugal ( Lisbon and Porto ) as well as in Spain ( Madrid and Salamanca ).
As an instructor he supported and supervised the sporting career of several Portuguese and Spanish riders that have been excelling in top dressage competition ( Sérgio Martin , Ricardo Almeida, Alberto Garcia Martin, amongst others).
In 1996 he enters Equitop – “ Actividades Hípicas Llda ”, managing the Quinta da Moura Equestrian Centre and, amongst other functions, commands and manages the training of his “Equitop – Equestrian Team”, a team of young riders (Isabel Pinto Coelho, Domingos Ferreira, Jaime Homem de Sá , Carolina Ferreira, Mário Pinho , João Gonçalves , amongst others), with remarkable results, proved by the rankings obtained in several Dressage Competitions, namely, The Portuguese Teaching Cup and The International Competitions of Lleida -Barcelona and Anadia .
Camilo Borges thought and prepared numerous teaching horses, having in the picadeiro several Grand Prix level horses.
